Rachel Millsted BSc(Hons) Psych, BSc(Hons) TCM (Ac),MBAcC
After gaining a Psychology degree and working within the NHS as a Social Therapist and Primary Care Mental Health Worker for a number years, Rachel decided to change career and become an Acupuncturist after experiencing the amazing benefits of acupuncture for herself. Her passion was fuelled with realisation that acupuncture can be used to treat mental health problems as well as improving physical health. Rachel is passionate about taking a holistic view of healthcare and believes that acupuncture treatment can be a powerful antidote to modern life's stresses and strains.
Rachel trained at Salford University for a three year, full time degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture) which gave her a sound grounding in western medical science as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has completed post-graduate training at the prestigious Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing, China.
As well as running her busy acupuncture clinics in Knutsford and Chester, Rachel lecturers at the Northern College of Acupuncture. She is Practitioner Development Tutor on their BSc and MSc Acupuncture courses.
Rachel is a fully licensed member of the British Acupuncture Council (the main regulatory body of acupuncture in the UK) and as such follows a strict Code of Practice. She also holds full insurance.
