Acupuncture has been used in China for centuries to assist both the female and male reproductive system. Modern research is is showing that there is substance to this ancient knowledge and as a result, many couples are choosing to use acupuncture as a method of boosting their fertility.
For women acupuncture can:

- Regulate hormones and the menstrual cycle
- Reduce unwanted side-effects of IVF drugs
- Strengthen the immune system
- Reduce stress

Case Study – Natural Fertility
Case studies are included by kind permission of Acupuncture Works patients.
Angela came for treatment to boost her fertility naturally. She had had a miscarriage year ago and had not been able to conceive since then. Fertility investigations showed that there was no specific reason why she could not conceive. She had been advised that IVF was her next option, she was wondering whether to go down that route but thought she would try acupuncture first. After 2 months Angela became pregnant.
